Our annual fundraising dinner is our signature event that celebrates the teachers and students who participate in these programs and the companies who support them.

Dorvin D. Leis believes that a student’s economic education begins not with the study of graphs or the stock market, but with an open mind. Dorvin not only embodies the importance of diversification and investment, but wholeheartedly donates personal time and funds to support innumerable local hospitals, schools, and charities, making him a true representation of Hawaii’s people and economy.

It is our honor to present Dorvin D. Leis with the Stephen L. Jackstadt Award for his incomparable support of Hawaii’s economy. One Hawaii teacher will also receive the 2011 Teacher of the Year award for excellence in teaching economics.
