Stock Market Simulation
Hawaii SMS is a 10-week statewide stock market simulation that will complement your teaching plan. The simulation encourages your students to think about setting goals and saving the money they need to reach those goals. It also introduces them to the discipline required to become successful investors.
Over the 10-week period, students invest a fictional $100,000 in stocks, bonds and mutual funds. By gaining an understanding of investment choices, students can learn about the importance of saving to help provide a sound economic and financial base for their future. The impact of current events on students' portfolios provides a real-world experience outside traditional classroom activities.
