2004 Annual Dinner

The 2004 Stephen L. Jackstadt Award was presented to Robert Saracco, First Vice President at Merrill Lynch, at a very special award dinner held on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Rob was presented with this award in honor of his outstanding support of economic education and of the Hawaii Council on Economic Education. Dee Jay Mailer was the keynote speaker.

Rob Saracco has more than eighteen years of experience providing financial and wealth management advice and services. A graduate of Oregon State University, Rob joined Merrill Lynch in 1985, where he currently leads the investment services practice for the group, Saracco & Hochuli. Rob specializes in determining appropriate asset allocation and managing client’s long term portfolios and fixed income planning.

As an active board member of the Hawaii Council on Economic Education, Rob was instrumental in bringing the Hawaii Stock Market Simulation (SMS) to local teachers and students. He volunteers his time training teachers in investment basics and visiting classrooms to teach students – efforts that help ensure that Hawaii SMS is both educational and fun for the more than 1,700 students that participate across the state. Rob is also a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst.
